Tensile knit
Here is a piece that I knitted on the Shima Seiki using nylon monofilament and elastic.
And then built a wooden frame in which I intend to stretch the knitted construction.
This piece will be photographed for the Sample Catalogue.
I then dyed it in turmeric.

Photo Shoot Venue
The venue for our Sample photo shoot is a church. I wanted a domestic setting for my knitting so I chose this serving hatch that opens up onto a dinky little kitchen. I am in the process of knitting a piece that will stretch across the serving hatch and back into the kitchen, hopefully you will be able to catch glimpses of the kitchen setting through the knit.

UV Sound Wave
This is my latest piece that I have installed in the Project Space today.
The rings are knitted in white fine count yarn and nylon monofilament.
The amazing colour is due to the Ultra-Violet lighting.Friday, 14 January 2011
Exhale Pavillion
Exhale Pavillion at Art Basel Miami Beach by architects Phu Hoang and Rachely Rotem.
Phu Hoang and Rachely Rotem Studios came together to build this beautiful work of art constructed of seven miles of reflective and phosphorescent ropes. Designed to interact with its environment, the ropes move with the breeze and even glow depending on the wind speed. Some ropes have sensors at human height so visitors can blow on them to see that section light up!
The design uses both reflective and phosphorescent ropes to create a dynamic and interactive environment that will sway and glow at night.
